Login and Authentication
Access the CED Dashboard through https://product.merthin.com. The login options include traditional username and password, as well as integration with enterprise identity providers using SAML 2.0 for single sign-on capabilities. This flexibility ensures that users can choose the most convenient and secure method to access their accounts.
Understanding the Multi-Tenant Architecture
CED is built on a multi-tenant architecture. Users typically operate within a single organization, but some may access multiple organizations. Each organization is isolated, ensuring security and privacy. For users associated with multiple organizations, a context switch button on the dashboard facilitates easy toggling between them. Additionally, every user is automatically provisioned with a Personal organization upon onboarding, which allows for individual exploration of CED without a formal organizational link.
Navigating the Dashboard Menu
The main menu, located on the left side of the dashboard, features several Root Tabs:
Home: Directs to the project list dashboard.
Users: Manages security settings, access levels, and user invitations.
Logs: Houses audit logs with additional operational logs available at project and subsystem levels.
Dashboard and Personal Configuration
In the upper right corner of the dashboard, users can access settings for both dashboard configuration and personal account management.
Using Keyboard Shortcuts
The CED UI includes a keyboard shortcut, Command/Ctrl + K, which allows users to conveniently access various elements of the platform, streamlining navigation and operations.
Exploring Additional Menu Tabs
Additional tabs at the Project and Subsystem levels offer further navigational options and functionalities, enhancing the user's ability to manage and monitor various aspects of their deployments.
This structured approach to the CED Dashboard ensures that users can efficiently manage their cloud and edge deployments, leveraging a comprehensive suite of tools and settings.
